Yarlet School | Keeping children safe online

Keeping children safe online

One of the biggest challenges parents and schools face is teaching children how to use technology safely and responsibly.  Whilst online platforms can be hugely beneficial to pupils' learning and will sooner or later play a significant role in their social life, it is also packed with potential serious threats and dangers. Keeping children safe online at Yarlet School is one of our priorities so we aim to work alongside both parents and children to ensure that key information is up to date and moreover shared, so that we are fully preparing the children to be safe in the digital world.  We have put together some incredibly useful resources and guides which give parents information on numerous aspects of keeping children safe online. These can be easily downloaded by clicking the links below.  Should you wish to discuss anything about how to keep your children safe, please do not hesitate to contact either the Deputy Headteacher (nicky.burrowsberry@yarletschool.org) or the Headmaster (ian.raybould@yarletschool.org).

Our main advice to parents is: be involved, be proactive, be vigilant.
