Yarlet School has clear aims which cover all areas of school life. We relentlessly pursue them through the implementation of clear policies and a rigorous school improvement plan. (Click here to view our aims.)
Children attend Yarlet between the ages of 2 and 13, when they leave as confident, responsible young adults who have learned self-discipline, respect and consideration for others. We place great emphasis on an all-round education which allows children to discover and develop their individual talents be they academic, sporting, artistic or musical.
A family atmosphere prevails at Yarlet, the heart of which is a positive, nurturing relationship between pupils and staff; teachers know their pupils exceptionally well and have high expectations across the board. Our open door policy ensures that parents also have an opportunity to be fully involved and their input is greatly valued.
From the age of 7, children of all denominations attend a short morning service in the school chapel and once a week the whole school comes together, stregthening the feeling of one community. Although the school places great importance on Christian values, we welcome pupils and visitors of all faiths; the sharing of different beliefs and heritages is both welcomed and encouraged.
