The generous donations which were made at this year's Harvest and Christmas services have been donated to Marshlands School, a special school only 4 miles away from Yarlet. Yarlet pupils handed over the cheque at Marshlands' carol service this afternoon.
A total of £550 was raised which is fantastic! In a thank you letter, Headteacher, Kim Ellis wrote: "This unexpected donation of £550 will help equip our school library. I would like to say a big thank you to Yarlet!" The school delivers highly individualised programmes to enable children with a range of disabilities to achieve and succeed. It has recently relocated to a larger site so that it can support more children. As the library installations from the previous site could not be moved, books currently sit on the floor; Yarlet's donation will help to get them on shelves in an exciting library project which Marshland's is currently fund raising for. Thank you to everyone who contributed!
