YARLET REMEMBERS PAST PUPILS WHO FELL DURING THE TWO WORLD WARS

Remembrance 2014

All pupils from Kindergarten to Form 8 gathered together in our little chapel for a poignant and thought-provoking remembrance service.

The service was led by the Revd Davis and a member of the Royal British Legion was in attendance making the service a special occasion for all our pupils. Pupils in Form 4 shared their remembrance poems and afterwards pupils in Forms 5 and 6 were given the chance to speak with the standard bearer to ask questions about his recent active service in Afghanistan and his current role as a Poppy Appeal organiser.

Pupils very much appreciated this opportunity to deepen their understanding of why we remember at this time of year.
