U11 CRICKET V EDENHURST

U11 Cricket 15 May 2018

Report by Henry and Reuben (Form 5)

On Wednesday, Yarlet U11 boys took on Edenhurst at cricket. With Yarlet bowling first we made good progress with Reuben and Henry taking some wickets in the first four overs. Next up were Isaac and Cameron who bowled tremendously well and the batting pair didn't make many runs off them. Freddie and William followed and they both bowled very well too. William got two wickets. Bowling next were Jack and Robbie. They both bowled amazingly well. Whilst Robbie was bowling, Jake ran someone out. The last two bowlers were Elliot and Cameron. They were also amazing with Cameron bowling two people out. A big mention to captain, Fraser, who led the team as well as running two people out.

It was time for Yarlet to bat with Henry and Fraser batting first. Henry hit some sweet shots whilst Fraser was hitting fours after fours. Next to bat were Reuben and William. While William was hitting shots for lots of runs, Reuben was hitting shots which were causing havoc in the Edenhurst field. Up next were Cameron and Isaac who batted superbly well and both of them should be very proud of themselves. One of the last batting pairs were Freddie and Elliot who also were amazing. There were excellent bowlers against them but they were hitting bowls like a dream. The last batting pair were Robbie and Jake who also had an amazing game. The final score was 220 for Yarlet and 237 for Edenhurst. Even though we lost, we played superbly. Well done boys!
