Forms 5 & 6 were delighted to welcome Stephen Downs from Rugeley Power Station who helped teach our pupils how to make solar powered boats. Here is a report from Abigael Pointon:
On 17th June, Forms 5 and 6 made boats. A man called Steve came in from Rugeley Power Station. He explained how the power station works and about pollution and he also told us about fossil fuels. We were told to use two milk bottles as the base and that the battery and propeller could not touch the water. Then it was left to us to design and make our boats, with the winning boat called Stormhold and the runner-up boat called Death of Ride. It was an amazing and enjoyable experiment for all who took part.
WELL DONE LEAVERS OF 2018!
